JT Multisport May 2021 Newsletter

May 2021

Welcome to the first ever JT Multisport newsletter. Thank you to everyone who has given feedback on our 2020/21 survey. We have received some great feedback and look forward to continue implementing some of the awesome ideas everyone has put forward, one of which is our new newsletter. In each addition we will endeavour to bring you recent race results, important upcoming events as well as some training tidbits and an athlete spotlight. If you would like to see anything added feel free to reach out!

Next month we are looking forward to heading to QLD for Ironman & 70.3 Cairns and ITU Runaway Bay Continental Cup and Port Douglas Continental Champs and Continental Cups. This block will also see a number of JTM athletes head to Cairns for a winter camp between races. Best of luck to everyone racing!

July will see multisport racing return to the nation’s capital with the Canberra Multisport Events Winter relay. We have put together 15 teams to compete in this event. Please check teamapp for your teams and ensure you have confirmed so your team captain can enter.

Congratulations to JTM members Shelby & Matt Duncan and Charlotte & Myles Wood on their recent marriages. We were so happy to have been able to celebrate both special days!

Paul & Jenine Leskovec

2019 JTM values award winner Paul Leskovec and wife Jenine are two of JTMs longest running members. The two have amassed a huge collection of some of endurance sports’ coolest medals including the GC30 running festival this month.

Paul & Jenine started training with JTM with the goal of learning to swim comfortably and eventually for Paul to complete a 70.3 distance triathlon. This goal is set to become a reality with Paul committing to Western Sydney 70.3 in 2021. The whole of JTM are behind you Paul!

Training Tools

Friendly reminder to please ensure your files are coming through to training peaks. If for whatever reason you don’t have a file coming through please ensure you hit completed as planned so we know which sessions have been completed. If you are unable to make a session, a quick comment is always much appreciated!

Remember to run fast on race day you need to run slow during your training, ensure your aerobic runs are done in your aerobic zone! If you are finding you are racing at a similar pace to the majority of your training runs this is extra important for you!
