JT Multisport September 2022 Newsletter
Welcome to the 2022-23 season and what an exciting start it has been. Our hard work over winter is paying off; be it a rest or braving the cold it’s great to see the club ramping up for what promises to be big season.
We’ve had many athletes race the Stromlo Duathlon, Blackmores Sydney Running Festival and IRONMAN Western Sydney 70.3 and with a collection of personal achievements it has been wonderful to witness the club supporting and cheering on one another.
The ACT sprint duathlon champs was the first race of the interclub series and we are keen to continue our streak as the defending champions. Our next big race for the series is the Jackie Fairweather triathlon race to be held on 30 October. If you haven’t already, reach out to your coach about registering for this race.

Athlete Spotlight
Georgie Hicks
Georgie certainly has had a cracking start to her triathlon career. Her most recent results include National duathlon champion and 2 x ACT duathlon champion so to say we are excited for the upcoming season is an understatement.
Since joining the JTM family, Georgie has made huge improvements in all three disciplines and has applied strong commitment and interest to the sport. As well as being a super triathlete, Georgie is also our go to for trivia and general knowledge with a crazy ability to pick correct answers on game shows. You rock Georgie!
Training tools
Are you sticking to your training zones? Ensure you are getting the most out of your training by sticking to your power/pace/hr targets. Ensure you have the correct data fields on each page of your watch/bike computer and use the data to stick to your prescribed session. We recommend a chest based heart rate monitor for greatest accuracy.
